Coin Blank Packing Cell

Our client, a Minting Company, was looking for a way to increase throughput in their production line. The coin blanks had to be stacked manually in trays which was a slow, repetitive task.

The cell our team developed, built, and commissioned consisted of a Fanuc M2iA Delta Robot working together with a Fanuc LR Mate 200iD, both with custom end of arm tools. The Delta Robots picks 2 blanks at a time from an infeed conveyor and places them on a queue bridge until the stacks have the appropriate number of blanks. The LR Mate then picks up the stacks and places them in the trays.
