TURBOX Loose Pack Palletizer
TrojanLitho, a consumer packaging company, was looking for an automated palletizing solution for loose packs of a large variety of cases. We delivered a unique and robust custom solution for palletizing both loose stacks, and closed cases.

The palletizing system consists of a Fanuc M-410iC/185 4 axis Robot with two custom End of Arm Tools, two loose pack/case infeed conveyors, a pallet infeed, pallet outfeed, and the necessary control systems.
For loose-pack palletizing, product arrives on the two infeed sections from the upstream process and are conveyed into the pick position for the robot. The robot picks the stacks using a custom designed box gripper (EOAT Type 1). The robot places the packs onto the pallet using multiple customer-specified stacking patterns. Patterns include slip sheets for the top and bottom of the stack, and tier sheets for in between loose pack layers. Once the pallet has been completed, the pallet is conveyed from the cell for shrink-wrapping.
For case-pack palletizing, cases arrive on the two infeed sections from the upstream process and are conveyed into the pick position for the robot. The robot picks the packs using a vacuum gripper (EOAT Type 2). The robot places the packs onto the pallet using multiple customer-specified stacking patterns. The cell has the capability for multiple customer-specified slip sheet and tier sheet patterns. Once the pallet is complete, the pallet is conveyed from the cell for shrink-wrapping.
